Evaluation Summary

Company Insights

Lemieux Et Cie is owned by the company Stone Lain. Hilde evaluates and rates parent companies rather than individual brands. The info included on this page is based on the performance of the parent company. Learn why.

We noticed Stone Lain when browsing through the tableware (e.g. plates, bowls, etc.) offerings at Costco. The company offers a large variety of tableware collections under a number of different brands. Unfortunately, the company appears to be doing absolutely nothing when it comes to ensuring that the products they sell (most appear to be made in China) are safer and more sustainable.

Hilde was not able to find any credible, publicly available information about the ingredient safety, sustainability, or accountability efforts at Stone Lain during our research. In instances where the company does provide information about these topics, it was not relevant to any of the criteria included in our evaluation. Work on these issues may be occurring at the company but our research did not readily locate information about it at the time we conducted our review. Our research included but was not limited to reviewing content on webpages, reading company blog posts, looking through FAQs when available, doing sitewide keyword searches, and checking for reports across the website(s) that appear to be owned and operated by the company. We hope this company provides greater transparency about these important issues in the future.
