Company Insights
When we first visit a company’s website to learn more about their material safety and sustainability efforts we always get a little burst of excitement if there are dedicated pages or sections on these topics. Having specific portions of your site built specifically for sharing information about your efforts is a very simple step. But one that too many companies overlook. Our research, including on Area Home’s website, turned up some vague claims about a number of certifications. We hope they’ll provide more information to help clarify which, if any certifications they as a company or their products currently have. We do appreciate their emphasis on selecting fabrics like linen that are made from raw materials that can have lower environmental impacts associated with their production. But based on the information currently available, we see lots of opportunities for the company to pursue a more credible and comprehensive approach to material safety and sustainability. We hope they’ll make those investments moving forward.
